Hourly Pay: $15–$18/hr based on experience and availability
Tips: Pooled, often adds $2–$4/hr
Shift Differential: Additional $2/hr on qualifying shifts:
- Friday shifts ending after 6 PM
- Saturday (all day)
- Sunday (all day)
In this role you will work with our sales team and guests to provide a high-level of customer service. You will be cross-trained on the POS, at the tea bar, and in product knowledge to be able to assist in any capacity. After we close the store you will assist the team in closing the register, cleaning, and stocking.
Currently we are looking for someone who is interested in working 2-4 shifts per week, and is available for training and beginning work before mid-August.

- Supports operations and customer service performance across all team members through coaching, training, and correcting team members.
- Provides oversight and quality control for customer service and store tasks.
- Obtains merchandise requested by the customer, fields customer questions concerning location, product information, price and uses for products while establishing rapport with customers to ensure their enthusiastic return
- Contribute and maintain a cohesive store team unit by actively contributing to team efforts
- Comply with all The Spice & Tea Exchange® operating standards and procedures pertaining to the daily operation of the store
- Communicate any new information to the Store Manager and staff as necessary
- Prints labels and prices merchandise with labels, SKU’s, prices, and locations
- Assists in maintaining inventory levels throughout the store, e.g. on shelves, counters, and tables, in containers with merchandise and product while assessing store inventory levels.
- Maintain solid, accurate, and current product knowledge to adequately promote the product by reading applicable publications and attending necessary training activities
- Helps maintain store appearance by contributing towards daily chores and cleaning
- Proven customer focus with stellar customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and understand/follow priorities.
- Ability to utilize simple math skills in measuring ingredients, reading a scale, and following recipes.
- Ability to count money and make change.
- Comfortable with computers, using the internet, and printing
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- ServSafe Food Handler or Manager Certification is a plus if you have one now. If not you will be required to obtain the Manager Certification within 6 months of being hired. Testing materials and the cost of the test can be paid for by the company.
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time, lift boxes up to 40 pounds, and use a step stool as needed.
